George Santos hawking Cameo videos with his drag queen alter ego

(The Hill) — Former Rep. George Santos says he’s bringing Kitara “out of the closet,” offering Cameo videos with his apparent drag queen persona for money.

The New York Republican — who is facing federal indictment on 23 counts of wire fraud, identity theft and other campaign finance charges and was expelled by the House last year — teased the return of the alter ego on Monday.

“Ya’ll weren’t ready for this drop?” Santos wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“I’ve decided to bring Kitara out of the closet after 18 years!” the 35-year-old ousted congressman said.

Santos included a link to book a personalized video with him on Cameo for $350. The ex-lawmaker, who last week announced he was suspending an independent House bid, first began selling videos on the site in December, just days after he was booted from Congress.

While still in office in January 2023, Santos had responded to photos snapped years earlier that appeared to show him in drag.

“No, I was not a drag queen in Brazil, guys,” Santos told reporters at the time.

“I was young, and I had fun at a festival. Sue me for having a life,” he said.

Santos had initially denied a Reuters report that he participated in drag queen contests with the name Kitara and cross-dressed in gay pride events in Brazil more than a decade ago.

In his plug for the Cameo videos with Kitara, Santos claimed that a portion of the proceeds would be donated to a pair of charitable organizations.
