TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Sunshine State is home to two of the top pizzerias in the world, according to a new list from an Italy-based pizza ranker.
The “Guide to the Best Pizzerias in the World” from “Top 50 Pizza” was unveiled last month, and two Florida pizzerias were listed among the top 100 best in the world.
First up, at No. 45, the Miami pizzeria La Leggenda.
Founded by, Giovanni Gagliardi, “the heir” of a family of Italian pizza makers, La Leggenda is known for its Pizza Napoletana and gluten-free pizza dough.

The other Florida pizzeria, ‘O Munaciello, was ranked at No. 55.
O’ Munaciello is originally from Florence, Italy, but now has locations all over the world, including one in the MiMo District and on Coral Way in Miami.
The restaurant brands its pizza as having a true “authentic Neapolitan taste,” with “dough that rises 48 hours, the best Italian products, and wood-fired oven.”
