(NewsNation) — Barbara Bush says she spent part of last weekend campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris.
“It was inspiring to join friends and meet voters with the Harris-Walz campaign in Pennsylvania this weekend,” former President George W. Bush’s daughter said in an exclusive statement to People. “I’m hopeful they’ll move our country forward and protect women’s rights.”
The former president’s office previously said he and his wife, Laura, would not endorse this election, noting that he retired from politics years ago.
