Disneyland officials decided to cancel the theme park’s famous fireworks show as windy weather pushed through the Anaheim area Sunday night.
Park visitor Jensen Roseboom from Missoula, Montana, said the winds didn’t keep him from getting on any rides but did start to pick up later in the evening.

“Only major change that happened was the park made a choice to not do the fireworks just due to the risk of something going off course due to the wind,” Roseboom said.
Oscar Noyola of Fullerton also said the winds picked up when the show was canceled but also noticed something else about the park Sunday.

“There’s nobody in the park over here … I think it was because of the fires. Because nobody was trying to come … no lines,” Noyola said.
The popular 10-minute fireworks show is dependent on weather conditions and is subject to change or cancellation, Disneyland states on its website.
