ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida congresswoman has introduced legislation to add a carving of Donald Trump to the ranks of presidents like George Washington and Abraham Lincoln on Mount Rushmore.
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna officially filed the bill on Jan. 28. She said the legislation aims to honor President Trump for his “transformative impact on America and the historical significance of his leadership.”

“His remarkable accomplishments for our country and the success he will continue to deliver deserve the highest recognition and honor on this iconic national monument,” Luna wrote in a post on X. “Let’s get carving!”
The Mount Rushmore National Memorial in South Dakota currently features the 60-foot-tall heads of four U.S. presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt.
The original sculptor selected those four presidents because, to him, they represented the most important events in the nation’s history, according to the National Park Service.
